The new 2023 F-150 Lighting and Silverado EV models offer a variety of new technology, safety and performance features. While the F-150 is more targeted towards being a work truck, the Chevrolet aims to create a full-on EV truck, implementing all new features.

The Ford F-150 Lightning comes with a 15.5-inch infotainment screen as standard. The infotainment screen size for the Silverado EV is 17.0 inches. Both vehicles include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features. 

However, Ford offers more audio options with 18-speaker stereo systems. Chevrolet hasn’t released full details about the Chevrolet EV's audio system features yet.

Performance Features

The Lighting has more than enough towing power. The 775 lb-ft of torque allows the new F-150 to tow up to 10,000 lbs. The 580 horsepower makes the Lighting the fastest accelerating F-150. The large battery allows it to drive up to around 515 kilometres with the extended-range battery. With the 80-amp Ford Charging Station Pro, you can get the battery from 0-100% overnight. 

The 2024 Silverado offers up to 785 lb-ft of torque and 754 horsepower with open watts. The estimated range is up to 724 kilometres with many charging options, including DC Fast Charging. The Silverado allows you to hitch up and hit the road, towing up to 10,000 lbs as well. 

Safety and Driver Assistance Features

The 2023 Lighting comes with a Blind-Spot Information System with Trailer Coverage. The system detects the blind spots around your vehicle and trailer. Thus allowing you to drive comfortably on the highway. The system also alerts if it detects any obstacles or other vehicles. There’s also a Lane-Keeping System and Ford Bluecruisde Hands-Free Highway Driving for added comfort. 

On the other hand, the 2024 Silverado offers Super Cruise Driver Assistance Technology and hands-free driving and trailering.
